Warning: Not For Human Consumption Event -
Parents and teens are invited to learn the facts about synthetic drugs from top experts of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, DUILA, Superior Court, NCADD-OC, PRYDE, CSP, and OC Dept. of Education during the Warning: Not For Human Consumption Event scheduled for Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Stanton Community/ Civic Center, 7800 Katella Ave.

Sandbags for Residents and Businesses -
The City will make sandbags available to Stanton residents and resident businesses at its Corporate Yard located at 8100 Pacific Street. These are available for pick up anytime. Limit of 10 per household and/or business.

Residents can also obtain sandbags at their local OCFA Fire Station.

If you need additional sandbags or if our supply runs out, sandbags can be purchased at building supply stores such as Resource Building Materials at 10961 Dale in Stanton.

 
8th Annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast -
You are cordially invited to the 8th Annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. This year’s guest speaker will be The Most Reverend Jamie Soto, Bishop of the Diocese of Sacramento. Tickets are $35 and all proceeds benefit the Stanton Community Foundation.

Commercial Recyling Law AB 1826 -

AB 1826 requires business to separate organic waste. Organic waste means food waste, green waste, landscape and pruning waste, nonhazardous wood waste, and food-soiled paper waste that is mixed in with food waste. The law will phase in the mandatory recycling of commercial organics over time. The law phases in the requirements for businesses, including multifamily residential dwellings that consist of five or more units,* over time based on the amount and type of waste the business produces on a weekly basis, with full implementation realized in 2019.
