Home Improvement Rebate Program is Back

Jun 18 2018

The City of Stanton will be providing financial assistance to qualified homeowners for improvements to their properties.

Beginning July 2, 2018, the City of Stanton will be offering financial assistance to income-qualified households for rehabilitation of their owner-occupied single-family homes.  The program is intended to assist in making the necessary exterior repairs, improve the aesthetics of the residence, and help beautify the neighborhood by providing the funding to repair or eliminate health and safety issues in residential properties, and to provide assistance for disabled persons in making their homes more accessible.

Eligible improvements include:

  • Paint, stucco and siding repairs
  • Replacement of windows and doors
  • Roofing repairs or replacement
  • Energy efficient items, water heaters, furnace, low flush toilets
  • Installation of landscaping and irrigation
  • Accessibility modifications
  • Other exterior improvements and minor interior health and safety improvements as approved by the City of Stanton

This program provides matching funds of up to $5,000 to qualified low to moderate-income homeowners. Qualified properties must be owner-occupied single-family homes (including condominiums and townhomes) in need of exterior aesthetic improvements.  All homes must have blighted conditions to qualify.

The project is being funded through Community Development Block Grant Funds.
