Stanton, Calif.– September 12, 2018 – During the Stanton City Council meeting on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, the City Council unanimously approved a contract for Mr. Robert W. Hall to become Stanton’s Interim City Manager.

Hall has over 30 years of experience in public administration. He previously served as the City Manager for the City of Fountain Valley from 2013 to 2017. Hall also worked for the Cities of Huntington Beach and Riverside as the Assistant City Manager and General Services Director, respectively.

As the City Manager for the City of Fountain Valley, Hall was responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan that addressed several key issues such as financial challenges, economic development, infrastructure, and staff morale. He also initiated a development plan that included significant zoning changes to spur investment in the City. Hall developed and managed the City’s $100 million budget.

“Robert ‘Bob’ Hall is exactly the type of person we need to help the City of Stanton during this time of transition,” commented Mayor David Shawver. “His wealth of experience in municipal government will be of great service to City Council, City Staff, and our community.”

Hall will be working on a part-time basis, while the City begins the recruitment process for a full-time City Manager.
