Please Excuse Our Mess

May 18 2017

Exciting new development is occurring along our Beach Blvd. corridor.  We currently have two properties under development: a new Del Taco at the corner of Beach Blvd. and Cerritos Ave., and a medical office building on Beach Blvd., just north of the CVS on the corner of Beach Blvd. and Lampson Ave.

There are also a number of projects currently obtaining building permits to start construction, including: a new Starbucks building at the corner of Beach Blvd. and Garden Grove Blvd.; an assisted living facility and mixed-use project at the corner of Beach Blvd. and Catherine Ave.; renovation of a small park on the corner of Beach Blvd. and Orangewood Ave.; development of the commercial component of Stanton Plaza including a service station, quick serve restaurant and 6,000 square foot retail pad building at the northeast corner of Beach Blvd. and Orangewood Ave.; and a commercial project at the corner of Beach Blvd. and Main St., which includes construction of a new two-story retail building and exterior improvements to existing commercial building which would renovate and rebuild half of a city block!

These projects are expected to start construction this summer and fall.  In addition, there will be a large Southern California Edison project to underground the electrical wires along Beach Blvd. between Garden Grove Blvd. and the flood control channel between Lampson Ave. and Chapman Ave.  This would include digging up portions of the street, and having construction along this stretch of Beach Blvd. for a couple of months.  Construction for this project is anticipated to begin this summer.

With all the new development occurring on Beach Blvd., the street will be quite busy with construction crews and modified traffic patterns.  Our already busy street will become even more hectic, so please use caution while driving down Beach Blvd., or use alternate routes while the construction is underway.

We are excited to bring new life to the Beach Blvd. corridor, and this is just the start, so stay tuned as new development comes on-line, and we continue to redevelop our City’s most prominent corridor.
