EV Charging Stations at City Hall

The City of Stanton is helping save the environment one charge at a time with the recent installation of Charge Point electric vehicle stations at City Hall. Stations will provide residents and fleet vehicles with a cleaner energy supply and promote the reduction in fuel emissions within our environment.

Exciting new development is occurring along our Beach Blvd. corridor.  We currently have two properties under development: a new Del Taco at the corner of Beach Blvd. and Cerritos Ave., and a medical office building on Beach Blvd., just north of the CVS on the corner of Beach Blvd. and Lampson Ave.

The City of Stanton shut down an illegal marijuana dispensary today, sending a clear message of zero tolerance for illegal businesses in the City. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department served a lockout warrant for an illegal marijuana dispensary on the 8800 block of Katella Ave. in Stanton, CA. on the morning of April 20th.

The California Department of Food and Agriculture recently detected Huanglongbing (HLB), an incurable plant disease, in an orange tree and a mandarin tree in a residential area of Cerritos, which puts Stanton’s backyard citrus trees at risk.

New Development on Beach Blvd

The City of Stanton continues to see new development applications for Beach Blvd.  The latest one, which was approved by the Planning Commission on March 15, 2017, would redevelop half a city block!  Starting at the vacant lot on the northeast corner of Beach Blvd. and Main St., a new 4,100 square foot, two-story retail building will be constructed.

On the program, City of Stanton’s Administrative Services Director Stephen Parker discussed the city’s current challenges, obstacles and successes regarding various financial matters. “CityWORKS” aired on the city’s government access television station, Stanton TV.
