New Development on Beach Blvd

The City of Stanton continues to see new development applications for Beach Blvd.  The latest one, which was approved by the Planning Commission on March 15, 2017, would redevelop half a city block!  Starting at the vacant lot on the northeast corner of Beach Blvd. and Main St., a new 4,100 square foot, two-story retail building will be constructed.

On the program, City of Stanton’s Administrative Services Director Stephen Parker discussed the city’s current challenges, obstacles and successes regarding various financial matters. “CityWORKS” aired on the city’s government access television station, Stanton TV.

 

Pocket Park on Beach Blvd Approved

Another project was approved for the revitalization of Beach Blvd.! City Council approved the design for the redevelopment of the pocket park at Beach Blvd. and Orangewood Ave. during the Council Meeting held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017.

Stanton Kermore Lane residents are finally driving on a smooth street after years of traveling on a dirt road which lacked curbs and gutters. The area known as Kermore Lane belonged to the County of Orange until March 2012 when Stanton City Council authorized the City to move forward with the annexation of the Kermore Island from the County.

The City of Stanton and the Stanton Business Alliance honored local businesses during the 7th Annual Business Appreciation Luncheon held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Stanton Community Center. This year’s event had a strong showing with 160 members of the Stanton business community in attendance. Local organizations such as the North Orange County Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Administration (SBA), SCORE and the Garden Grove One Stop participated with displays at the event.
