The City of Stanton is excited to welcome local students from Magnolia, Western, and Gilbert High Schools to City Hall for its fourth annual Youth in Government Day. The all-day learning event is scheduled for Thursday, March 23, 2017.
“What does a City Clerk do? This question and more will be answered at our upcoming Youth in Government Day. The Stanton City Council created this event to give local students a glimpse into the many career and volunteer opportunities involved in City government,” said Mayor Carol Warren.

Nutriton Classes for Children and Adults
The Stanton Community Services Center is offering a six-week course designed for children ages 5 to 12 and adults to focus on the importance of nutrition. Participants will gain a firsthand experience in preparing healthy snacks during these lessons. Classes are held on March 23 through April 27, 2017 from 5-6 p.m. at the Stanton Community Services Center, 11822 Santa Paula St. For additional information or to register, please call (714) 379-0129.
Parents and teens are invited to learn the facts about synthetic drugs from top experts of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, DUILA, Superior Court, NCADD-OC, PRYDE, CSP, and OC Dept. of Education during the Warning: Not For Human Consumption Event scheduled for Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Stanton Community/Civic Center, 7800 Katella Ave.

The City of Stanton and the Stanton Community Foundation are proud to host the 8th Annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast scheduled for Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel, 7675 Crescent Ave., Buena Park. The event will commence at 7:30 a.m. and include a formal ceremony, breakfast, musical presentations from St. Polycarp Catholic School and Mater Dei High School, prayers from local religious leaders and a presentation by this year’s special keynote speaker, The Most Reverend Jamie Soto, Bishop of the Diocese of Sacramento; who grew up in Stanton and whose family still resides in the City.
Stanton Kermore Lane residents are finally driving on a smooth street after years of traveling on a dirt road which lacked curbs and gutters. The area known as Kermore Lane belonged to the County of Orange until March 2012 when Stanton City Council authorized the City to move forward with the annexation of the Kermore Island from the County.
The City of Stanton and the Stanton Business Alliance honored local businesses during the 7th Annual Business Appreciation Luncheon held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Stanton Community Center. This year’s event had a strong showing with 160 members of the Stanton business community in attendance.
