4th of July: Fireworks Safety

The City would like to remind Stanton residents to celebrate the upcoming holiday responsibly and say no to illegal fireworks. Possession of illegal fireworks is a crime and is punishable by law. Fines range from $1,000-$80,000 per violation.

There are several ways to report illegal firework activity in Stanton:

  • Community members who witness illegal firework activity have the option to sign a private person's arrest form which will allow deputies to take action after investigating an incident.
  • Send an email to PublicSafety@StantonCA.gov where the activity is occurring and provide addresses, videos, license plates, photos, and any other information that can be investigated. Please include your name, address, and phone number so that you can be contacted.  All information will be forwarded to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, for their review.
  • Report in-progress illegal firework discharge to OCSD by calling (714) 647-7000. Report suspicious firework activity to Stanton Code Enforcement at (714) 890-4221
  • Call 9-1-1 for emergencies

We thank you for your cooperation to keep Stanton safe.
